Welcome to MoonSticks – a series of fan-made Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon comic strips by Chibi Jennifer. Launched on the 5th April 2009, MoonSticks brings humor and moonie love on random days, so make sure to check back for new comics! Want to be notified when we’ve updated? みんなさんこんにちは！ I’m known as ‘Chibi Jennifer’ online and sometimes referred to as just Chibi. I’m a 24 year old Sydney girl, am a huge fan of Sailor Moon and built my first fansite in year 2000- Chibi Land. Apart from being a moonie, I’m a full- time web designer, I love illustration, digital painting, animation, blogging and the occasional karaoke and mahjong.
What’s ‘MoonSticks’ you ask me? It’s a pun, both referring to Sailor Moon’s wand and stick figure drawings- though it’s more than just stick figures, hehe :3

1. How do I get an image (avatar/icon) next to my name when I leave a comment on MoonSticks?
This image is called a “Gravatar” – You can get one by signing up for free here. Once signed up, you can upload your own image and it will appear next to your name on all gravatar enabled sites! How cool is that? :)
2. May I re-post your comics onto my site/blog/tumblr/forum?
Yes you can! However, you must leave the comic as a whole (with the web address intact), and not cut up individual frames/drawings. You must also link the comic back to Moonsticks.org so others know where it came from :) Oh, and please do not direct link the image (You need to upload it onto your own server) Thanks!
3. Is MoonSticks.org translated into other languages? Can I help translate?
Yes! MoonSticks is currently being transcribed into Spanish, German, Dutch, Italian, Russian & French by lovely fans volunteering their time. Under each comic, where a transcription is available, you’ll see this link: “[ Show transcripts ]“. From there, you can select the language you’d like to see.
Want to help out? Here are a few general requirements:
- Be committed
- You must be fluent with both English and the language you’re transcribing
- Good spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Understand the jokes in the comic you’re transcribing

5. How often do you update with new comics?
MoonSticks previously updated every week on Fridays (Sydney time) but as of 13th July 2010, it will be updated on a random basis. Click here for more info.
