I write what I see. Dennis Lehane says that the social novel has moved to the crime fiction genre, and I believe that is true.
I grew up in an industrial pocket of Nutley, a middling New Jersey suburb next door to down dirty Newark. Most of my friends and family were hard workers, veterans. Others were bikers, cops, boxing promoters, jailbirds, soldiers, builders, boozers, bartenders, truckers, musicians, hairdressers and hash-slingers. They told the best stories, and I try to honor them in my own.
I train in mixed martial arts and strongman training in my spare time.
I am working on my first novel, entitled Bury the Hatchet.
