7am and we are open for business, tractor is grooming the start, sign up has a line forming, scoring is tested and ready to go, John is moving the 60" big screen for scoring into place. The course has dried up alot from yesterday and by race time will be perfect. some small standing water puddles but the sand is tacky and firm.. ready to race.

200 riders ripped it up on the 8.5 mile morning course.. Steve Mason took the overall but Shawna Davidson took second overall.
At 1:30 a stacked AA class hit the trail, Jason Lawerance ste the pace and after 3 laps Jason is holding 2+ minutes on Billy Schoenberg.

A new year, some new faces, some from last season made up the event in New Jersey. The pit was packed with riders as the rasing started at Noon, the 50cc class had Tryler Kowalski burning up the trails . In the PeeWee race, Mikey Beeler just dominated the field. At a little after 3, the Youth Event was off and racing. Thorne Devlin, 109 , pulled away and set the pace until the last lap when a mechanical issue slows his pace, Sal Cusimano from the 2nd row rode tough and steady to take the checkered for 1st Overall and First in his class. Charlie Stapleford is the grand daddy of the ECEA, a pioneer, an ambassador and a gentleman. At a recent Delaware Enduro Riders function Charlie was reunited with an old friend, his Triumph dirt bike from the past. Club president Steve Aretz took on the task of restoring Charlies old ride from the past. Charlies had been racing Enduros since the 60's and this bike was ridden by Charlie around the 1968-1969 era and now looks like new to be enjoyed once again.
