SCI™: Science Career Investigation™
EDUCATE’s popular SCI™: Science Career Investigation™ online resource center educates students, parents, teachers and the general public about the wide array of science careers available in Illinois. The program represents several years of research with public agencies to assess Illinois’ life sciences opportunities and workforce needs.
In addition to the online resource center, nearly 1,500 teachers, administrators and students participated in SCI™ outreach presentations last year—and the demand continues to grow. Only the Institute’s staffing capacity and resources limit the growth of these compelling programs. With donor support of the Institute, SCI™ can grow to reach many more young people and educators, in-person and online.
