Avril and her husband Deryrk Whibley have decided to part ways as Avril filed for divorce this week (Sept 20th) .

Avril's New album is set to release on April 17th, 2007 entitled "The Best Damn Thing". Her Third Album will feature songs produced by Butch Walker and her Husband Deryck Whibley.

Avril was also named Best New Artist in 2002 at the MTV Music Awards. Recently she lent her voice to a character in the movie "Over the Hedge". Lavign also made her mainstream acting Debut in "Fast Food Nation" a movie based on a popular book, which happens to be one of Avrils Favorite novels. This past summer Avril Married Sum 41's lead singer Deryck Whibley on July 15 2006. The marriage ceremony was in Venice, Italy.
