Asus EAX1950CROSSFIRE/HP/512M Review
posted - Nov 17 2006 03:08 PM
CPU3D.com: "Putting both the Asus EAX1950XTX and the Asus EAX1950 Crossfire in together and enabling the Crossfire mode looked impressive on the motherboard. But more so when benching them, the performance results were really amazing and exceeding my expectations. This was proven with the benchmark of 3DMark06 and 3DMark05 with quality set to super high quality and at high resolution the Asus EAX1950 in Crossfire mode clearly outperformed the GX2. Similar concerns about the heat genereated by the RAM on both the EAX1950XTX and the EAX1950 Crossfire running in Crossfire mode, the RAMsinks become extremely hot. So imagine both cards within the enclosed space of a case..."
Sapphire Radeon X1650 XT Review
posted - Nov 17 2006 03:01 PM
HardOCP: "With the introduction of the RADEON X1650 XT, ATI has provided a very competitive mainstream GPU. Before the X1650 XT GPU, NVIDIA's GPUs dominated the mainstream market segment by consistently outperforming ATI's RADEON X1600 series of GPUs at every level. The X1650 XT is here to change that by leveling the playing field, if you can find one. With good performance, excellent image quality, and outstanding hardware quality, Sapphire's RADEON X1650 XT would be a great video card if you could actually buy it at MSRP."
AOpen DSW1812P Review
posted - Nov 17 2006 01:05 PM
PC Stats: "The AOpen DSW1812P performed exactly as expected and that's very good. It's quick when it comes to data transfers and burning capabilities while keeping low access times and low CPU utilization. If you're in the market for a new DVD burner, the AOpen DSW1812P supports everything and is very quick."
Akasa AK-961 Review
posted - Nov 17 2006 12:57 PM
Frosty Tech: "...when the 90mm fan on the Akasa AK-961 spins at full speed what we really see is a good medium-to-high performance Intel heatsink. It's not the quietest heatsink out there, but the Akasa AK-961 does out perform the stock Intel solution and that's all that really matters."
GeCube Radeon X1950 Pro FZ Cool HDCP Review
posted - Nov 17 2006 12:49 PM
Hardware Zone: "Already, this special edition is a niche product and the high price makes it inaccessible to even the most hardcore enthusiasts. GeCube may have been too ambitious with this Champion Edition; they could have actually made an impact if it was available in a more affordable 256MB frame buffer option. The moral of the story: adding tons of features that improve the product marginally but adding greatly to its cost may not be the best option in a competitive market. If you still want to equip your system with an outlandish looking gadget despite the hefty asking price, here's one for the collectors."
Asus P5W64 WS Professional Review
posted - Nov 17 2006 12:03 PM
Lost Circuits: "In the final analysis, the P5W64 WS Professional provides an alternative to anything else that is out there and as such it will find its followers. There is nothing "wrong" with the board, it overclocks like a banshee, it is stable and has the proverbial ASUS quality."
