The data was acquired and processed in 1999-2000 and has now been reprocessed through pre-stack time and pre-stack depth migrations, utilizing noise attenuation, multiple elimination and imaging techniques that were not available during the original processing. Gulf of Mexico Freedom WAZ PSDM | ||
The final WEM, Kirchhoff, and RTM volumes are available for the Central and Western areas. There are 712 blocks of fast track WEM and Kirchhoff migration data currently available. Gulf of Mexico Kepler WAZ 3D | ||
The Kepler project, consisting of 21 OCS blocks of 3D Wide Azimuth data, was acquired orthogonal to the Justice WAZ 3D project. The main objective was to improve the subsalt imaging with the increased illumination from multiple azimuths. The project also provides results that are being used for the planning of a larger orthogonal project in the region. Kepler and Justice WAZ 3D projects have been processed separately and together to demonstrate the image benefits of orthogonal WAZ acquisition and processing techniques. Gulf of Mexico Liberty WAZ Project Complete | ||
The Gulf of Mexico Liberty WAZ project is now complete. This project, combined with the Freedom WAZ project, accounts for over 19,500 km2 of wide azimuth 3D coverage completed this year. The Liberty WAZ and Freedom WAZ projects are providing improved suprasalt and subsalt imaging in one of the most prolific hydrocarbon producing areas in the Gulf of Mexico. View Interactive Map | ||
Gulf of Mexico MC TTI RTM 3D Survey | ||
TGS is pleased to announce the completion of 5,940 mi2 (660 OCS Blocks) of Tilted Transverse Isotropy (TTI) anisotropic RTM and Kirchhoff PSDM migrations. The TTI RTM has improved the subsalt imaging along with the TTI Kirchhoff offering improved frequency content and sharper fault definition.
