One Price Fits All!
The bad news….we are out of shirts. But the good news is that you can still sign up but for the discounted price of $15 regardless of your age and you will still get the fabulous Susan B. goodie bag!
If there are shirts leftover after the race, you can purchase one then for $10.
Hope to see you out there!
One week till raceday!
We currently have over 400 people registered for the Susan B. 5k! Online registration closes at midnight on Wednesday, August 10.
If you have signed up, don’t plan to run and want your shirt and goodie bag, please pick it up either at Fleet Feet on Friday, August 12 or on raceday. If you do not pick this up by 9:30 on raceday, it may be given to someone who wants to swap sizes. We will not deliver or hold your goodies after the race. Thank you for your understanding!
Founded in 1976, the Susan B. Anthony (SBA) 5k gives women runners and walkers the opportunity to compete strictly against other women. The race has been successful every year in providing women with a non-intimidating atmosphere to challenge themselves to run or walk farther or faster than they may previously have. While the race attracts competitive women runners from all over Northern California, the field is composed primarily of Sacramento-based fitness runners. For many, the Susan B. Anthony 5k festival is their first race.
The race starts and finishes at Glen Hall Park adjacent to the American River. The course is USATF certified (see map), will be marked with mile 1/2 mile markers, has long straightaways, is shaded, flat, and closed to traffic so that fast times are possible on even some of the warmer Sacramento days. For those of you interested in sight-seeing during the race, the course winds through the River Park neighborhood. The one aid-station will be staffed by the always enthusiastic Youth Buffalo Chips.
In conjunction with the Women’s 5k, the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Kids’ 1/2 Miler is one of the few free kids’ races in the area. Kids can run alone or be escorted by their parents and then enjoy a ribbon, a cool treat, and the jumpy house.
