South of the Border
So the “Democrats” win control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate from the Republicans. This would seem, on the surface, to be a good thing if you are, say, not a right-wing nutjob. But does it mean that all will be made well in the Land of the Free™?
I have my doubts about that, but we’ll see what happens.

What is silver, has 212 HP and 1622L of cargo space? If you guessed that it's our new car, you'd be right. It's a sweet ride and looks at least something like this on the outside, and that on the inside.. Five-speed, leather, moonroof, etc, etc. Very nice. Happy happy.il Mercato
Some of the team went out for a proper dinner Saturday night in Halifax. I cannot recommend il Mercato on Spring Garden enough. Truly marvelous staff and great food with wonderful presentation. We had a great time.

My car crossed 200000000m this morning.
That’s about 5 trips around the world.
CUC 2006
Returned home safe and sound, and more than a little sore. A great first nationals for the team, missing out on the semi-finals to the eventual champions by one point. Hard to take at the time, mind you, but a great experience to build on for the future.

Off to Halifax again, this time for the Canadian Ultimate Championships!

MixedUp over (and out?)
This year’s running of the MixedUp tournament is done, and I’m glad. Too much stress, too little time. The weather was great and people seemed to have a good time. I found it very difficult to concentrate on my game while worrying about how things were running.
We’ll see if I do this to myself again next year.
