A Message from the Dean
“I will pray with the spirit, but I will pray with the mind also; I will sing praise with the spirit, but I will sing praise with the mind also.” 1 Corinthians 14:15
These words from the apostle Paul provide a good introduction to the character of theological education — that as we learn and grow together, the mind and the spirit are engaged and enriched together. At Wake Forest University School of Divinity, our classes feed the mind and the spirit, challenge the mind and the spirit, deepen the mind and the spirit, as we prepare the next generation of leaders for the churches and their varied ministries in the world.
