Two people in torment,
hot sticky love
Separately they burn
Together they smolder
Each is the fisherman
Each is the fish
They bait their hooks with irresistible treats
The hooks are barbed, once in they stay
So nice a day to fish
So nice a day for a fish
Swimming and catching the rays
Shimmering golden scales in boundless leaps of freedom
Relationships? Did one take the bait?
Was my nibble on the baited line part of my ‘flirt’
Or was it a big bite of relationship need?
Oh, I feel the tug of the line as I am pulled towards the boat
Fresh air and sunlight – life to some, end of freedom to fish
Shall I change to a mermaid and be saved and loved
Or shall my bound and chained mermaid
become the new exhibit at the relationship zoo?
Meanwhile I shall enjoy the swirling waters
‘till my last moments of freedom vanish into air
For now I am in the fisherman’s net
Shall I be the lover for dinner or dinner of my lover?
Fish sticks don’t swim …no more … .

From “guyMystique’s point of view”: having a girlfriend or partner means you got to help her be the woman she is, even if she’s not the woman you want, …unless you want to end the relationship and start the “endless search for the woman you want …again!”. Lover for dinner or versa ”vice”… Can’t we yawl just getta long? Take turns, leave some for the next guest, season to taste? Whose turn is it to play the fish tonight? Touche’e'….the magic squirmaid, the tender mama shark just tryin t feed th kids……BREATHE on, party yawn, sigh n.off.
