this month's mad artist comes to us with a fresh, innovative style. and who could say no to fresh and innovative? needless to say, but we'll say it anyway, we say yes to Sheri L. Wright! Sheri prides herself in her ability to capture the 'discarded and overlooked' - the ordinary bits of everyday life - in a not-so-ordinary way. art exists everywhere around us, though sometimes hard to see with the naked eye. only a special few can find beauty in an old beat-up Chevy. thanks to Sheri, we all can. that is, of course, if we all click here, and check out her astounding photography!

If I seem distracted, its because I was. I was just leaving the Museum of My Perpetual Despair. I wore a white shirt and jeans. The bronze-buckled belt is lost to history, as is the single gold earring. I carried a sheaf of papers, though I cannot recall anything about them. Perhaps they concerned my then-recent divorce. on 02.01.12 Mad Swirl kicked off february at Absinthe Lounge doing the open mic voodoo that what we do do... and shared some new news on some newness we've been craving to do too! the mad ones in the crowd at the lounge dug the musings and the fusings of of those who came to strut their mad stuff! mad swirlin' thanks to ALL the mad ones that came to participate, to appreciate, to celebrate... see who was who right here.
