South America is the fourth largest continent in the world bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the West and Atlantic Ocean to the North and East. South America is culturally influenced by their historic connection with Europe, especially Portugal and Spain. This is a place where you can have a real adventure from climbing an active volcano in the Andes with over 6000 meter high peaks, an Amazonian canoe ride or simply braving a bus ride down the Peruvian slopes. On the west coast are Peru, Ecuador and Chile, where you can visit the ancient Inca ruins and or visit Rio de Janeiro, Brazil's colorful city. In the north of the continent you can enjoy a fruit drink at one of Venezuela's white beaches. South America is well worth one, two or three visits.
