Welcome to the Department of History at Oklahoma State University.  The twenty-one members of the History Faculty offer undergraduate and graduate courses that fulfill requirements for the B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees.  Currently one hundred forty undergraduate students major in History and fifty-five graduate students are pursuing advanced degrees in the field.  The Department is eager to offer guidance to students who hope to minor in History, to earn an undergraduate or graduate degree, or simply to learn more about the past and its effect on the present.  Please use this site to acquaint yourself with the courses, faculty, student organizations, and activities of the History Department.  Please contact us if you have questions or would like further information.

Congratulations to Dr. Bill Bryans who has been elected to the board of the Oklahoma Humanities Council!
