About DDI

Dialogic Design International consults with organizations and stakeholders for strategic dialogue engagements to address and design for complex, multilateral social and business problems. We employ the Structured Dialogic DesignSM and complementary methods to enable organizations and their stakeholders to plan, design, and coordinate action based on the collaborative sensemaking and learning achieved in workshops using these processes. We help teams reach unprecedented, effective gains of foresight and penetration into the root structures of their most complex planning and design problems.

The 4 DDI partners bring over 100 years collective experience, perspective and repertoires. Using the Structured Dialogic Design (SDD) methodology developed by DDI’s Aleco Christakis, we serve as process facilitators for engagements requiring the contributing wisdom of all requisite points of view in a problem system.

Dialogic Design International is a consulting firm founded by Peter Jones with leaders from the non-profit Agoras Institute:

  • Aleco Christakis
  • Tom Flanagan
  • Ken Bausch

DDI integrates practitioners and resources across a wide network established over a generation of performance of prior work. While serving as transparent facilitators of collaborative futures design, DDI practice leaders have deep experience with engagements in government, healthcare, civil society, social innovation and high technology. Our understanding of interconnected problem systems in complex social and service sectors brings a sensitivity to the unwieldy, complicated cultural and historical issues that emerge and persist in these problem areas.
