BoagWorld, Web 2.0 Show, and the Ruby on Rails podcast have banded together to form Podvine, a network of podcasts with a listener audience of web professionals.

Monit and improved uptime
Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates, we have been busy working on increasing our services and reliability for you! I ran across a great service called monit and we have installed it on the Steelpixel servers. It has already kept us aprised of various situations that might have led to downtime if they went unchecked. We now have monit restart apache if things get too out of control. If you are interested, be sure to take a look at it – use guest/guest1 for the username/password.
We also upgraded the server recently and we felt that was a huge success! We only have around 10 customers that ran into issues with their site running on php5 (all of them are fixed now). The upgrade brought us up to date with PHP5 and MySQL 4.1 which has been working great for everyone.
The last important thing to note is that we are getting ready to open up lifetime hosting one more time, so if you are interested, get ready for it. Look for it to happen some time next week. The rules and packages will be the same as last time.
