About Randy

For over twenty years, Randy Dickson has been helping individuals move beyond the greatest challenges of their lives.

Experienced

In the field of neuro-rehabilitation, the challenges came about as the result of traumatic injuries to the brain or spinal cord. In the field of crisis and trauma counseling, they resulted from the psychological and emotional impact of crime and disaster.

His work has carried him into the heart of events you watched unfold on the evening news; catastrophic events such as the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, and the 9/11/01 attacks on the World Trade Center. When your morning paper noted that a team of crisis counselors had been called in to assist in the wake of a tragic event, Randy may have been among that group.

Proven

For the past ten years, Randy has been sharing with professionals the communication skills, tactics and strategies he honed in some of the most difficult situations imaginable. Additionally, he has inspired and compelled audiences with his first-hand accounts of the manner and means by which ordinary people confront and overcome extraordinary obstacles.

Through his keynote presentations and specialized training courses, appreciative audiences throughout the United States have gained unique and immediately usable insight, allowing them to master difficult situations, increase their productivity, mitigate stress, resolve conflict, and to take on the most daunting tasks with confidence and enthusiasm.

Original

Within the first minutes of his presentations, audiences realize that this is not a word merchant reciting the latest feel-good stories floating around the internet. His stories, his experiences, and his flippant sense of humor are all uniquely his. Instead, what audiences experience is a humorous, personable educator with a passion for sharing an incredible wealth of experience and knowledge.

Randy is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He is a board certified expert in traumatic stress, a diplomate of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, and a licensed or certified trainer for a number of state, national and international organizations. He has written numerous articles and is the co-author of one of the most highly regarded books available on the subject of critical incident response.
