Indigenous population of Taiwan donates books to university

A cultural delegation from Taiwan has presented 175 books and journals to Leiden University. The gift is meant as thanks for all the research carried out by the university on the subject of the indigenous peoples of Formosa, as Taiwan was called in the past.

On Monday 12 March, our LUCIS spring fellow 2012 will give his second lecture, out of five, in the LUCIS spring fellow lecture series 2012, entitled: 'Islam in Europe: A Challenge to Islam and Europe'. Time: 15.00-17.00 hours. Location: room 003c at P.N. van Eijkhof 1, Leiden. Everyone is welcome! The other lectures are scheduled on 19 March, and on 2 and 3 April.
