About Astronomy

Astronomy is the study of the Heavenly bodies, which are all beyond the Earth’s atmosphere. It is one of the oldest sciences known to man, ever since the early civilizations of China, Egypt, and even the Mayans. Astronomy explains the Universe in forms of mathematics, Physic, Chemistry and anything relatable to quantifiable observations with valid proof. As opposed to Astrology, Astronomy is a study where each aspect of the universe is quantified, there are neither beliefs nor imagination; everything within astronomy can be quantified with a great degree of Science.

As a branch of Science, Astronomy is consisted highly on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. With high regards to observation, astronomy ever fails to recognize the process of science. One has to understand how the world works first before one can proceed into understanding the Universe with a marvel of instruments used; the main instrument used in Astronomy is the telescope, an instrument that is used to survey the universe and the surroundings of the solar system.

Astronomy has a lot of Branches like Observational astronomy, this branch of astronomy is more on monitoring the vastness of the universe or even studying the neighborhood of the solar system with use of a telescope. Another branch is the Theoretical astronomy, this branch of astronomy is concerned with making theories on the topics surrounding the universe. Subfield of astronomy for specific astronomical objects is concerned with the planetary materials and the other materials found in space. And the amateur astronomy is concerned with the studies performed by individuals not linked to experts in astronomy or partnerships within the astronomical community. These are just to name a few of the dozens of the astronomical branches that are readily available to the world.
