Delivering sustainable procurement and innovation
The eighth edition of the EcoProcura Conference series will take place on 19-21 September 2012 in Malmö (Sweden). This encounter will provide an opportunity to exchange amongst procurers from all levels of government, policy-makers, suppliers, manufacturers, multipliers and representatives from the European Commission and European Parliament.
With legislation in the pipeline and numerous policies at the European and national level, understanding the changes and ensuring sustainable public procurement (SPP) is implemented correctly can be challenging. The conference will focus what the latest legislation, strategies, guidance and practical solutions mean to public authorities implementing SPP.
The integral role of procurement in public authority operations will be explored and how this enables procurers, suppliers, service providers and subcontractors to effectively collaborate and build sustainability across the entire supply chain.
EcoProcura 2012 will also offer good practice exchange, dialogues between business and the public sector and short training sessions on various topics, such as Life Cycling Costing.
