Timing for the opening of bids for the Salvage and Demolition of Hoffman Park structures has been finalized. The Mayor and Clerk of the Township of Union will receive bids at 11:00 am on April 12, 2012 at the Municipal Building for the Salvage and Demolition of 5 Hoffman Park structures. See attached for more information and also Addendum #2 A full 29 page Addendum to the technical specifications relating to issues associated with defining potential asbestos removal has been issued to each of the bidders who have purchased specifications. The Addendum will be incorporated into any subsequent bid specifications that are sold.
The Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Company will be conducting a practice “Smoke Search Drill” at Hoffman Park on Monday, March 19 at 6:30pm. Nontoxic drill smoke and fire vehicle flashing lights may be visible from nearby homes and roads. The County 911 office has been alerted that this is only a practice drill.

It looks like we will have an early spring this year. You can pick up ground tree limb mulch for your yard at Finn Road Park's back parking lot for Union Township residents use only. This mulch was made from downed tree limbs collected by our Department of Roads & Facilities (DR&F) and residents after the October 2011 nor'easter. A FEMA grant application has been made to compensate the Township for the tub grinder and emergency DR&F hours during and after the storm.

Mr. Riccio's office hours will be Tuesdays, 1pm -4pm, and Thursdays, 12:30pm - 2:30pm. Ms. Brown's office hours will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am - 1pm.
