Three student midwives from Basingstoke have been chosen to perform in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on 27 July.
Olivia Harty, 22, Sarah Fox, 22 and Lesley Sheehan, a 42-year-old mother-of-two are all in their final year placement of a three-year degree at Bournemouth University.
All three ladies are set to perform at the ceremony after recently discovering their November auditions were successful.
The performance is expected to draw in 80,000 spectators and millions of TV viewers.
Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle said that he wanted to celebrate everything that is 'unique and special' to Britain, including the NHS.
