About Kaneisha.com

Just a few small changes in your life could make a huge difference to your happiness.

Kaneisha.com is the headquarters for Kaneisha Grayson’s writing, on-air hosting, and personal development coaching. Kaneisha.com is an online destination for smart women who are seeking clarity, inspiration, and guidance in at least one of the following areas:

  • Independence: how to be your own person while still being in a relationship, how to be happy whether you have a boyfriend or not, how to communicate your needs to your partner without seeming needy, and regaining your happiness and balance after a breakup
  • Relationship and Dating Communication: how to effectively communicate with your partner and talk through awkward, urgent, or complicated relationship situations
  • Online Dating: how to attract more (and better) matches, how to communicate effectively and efficiently with men online, how to manage dating multiple people while still having a life, and  how to address the various issues that arise in relationships that originated online
  • Female Friendship: how to find and make like-minded female friends as an adult; how to make friends in a new city, job or school; how to maintain long-distance female friendships; when and how to let go of friends; and how to find fun things to do with your friends
  • Pursuing Your Passion: how to identify and name your passion, ways to consistently pursue your passion, how to integrate your passion into your full-time job, whether and how to monetize your passion

Every Monday, the Kaneisha.com team publishes an original article about dating, happiness, personal development, and passion with a focus on not just thinking through issues–but taking inspired action towards a solution to that issue. When possible,  Kaneisha will provide specific action steps for you to take and even scripts you can use for difficult conversations.

Every Thursday, we send out the Love Note, our free newsletter that provides excerpts of the week’s article and a specific action item to move you closer to your goals in life, love, and the pursuit of passion.

To make sure you never miss an article or a live event, be sure to sign up to get the Love Note!

About Kaneisha Grayson

spacer Hello there! I’m Kaneisha Grayson, the Life Stylist and Love Coach. I’m a writer, web entrepreneur and online personality,  I chose to focus my writing and coaching on life styling and love coaching, because I noticed a huge void among my friends and coaching clients: We had mastered doing well in school and getting impressive jobs, but we hadn’t mastered the art of being happy, being in love, or pursuing our passion and purpose.

I’m from the high-tech, music-filled, entrepreneurial, youthful, progressive, and artistic city of Austin, Texas. I studied Black cinema, art, literature, and history at Pomona College in SoCal, and was fortunate enough to spend a semester abroad in Havana, Cuba. While there, I studied Afro-Caribbean culture, beginning French, and conducted research on sex workers and sex tourism. After I graduated from college, I spent a year volunteering and taking courses in Accra, Ghana as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. I then spent three years learning, laughing, and chilling (literally–Boston is really cold) at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School where I earned a joint MBA & MPA and focused on entrepreneurship and marketing. While in graduate school, I served as the featured dating advice writer for the Harvard Business School newspaper, and the Career Services office paid me several times to present my unconventional networking tips to my fellow MBA students! I also had a live call-in dating talk show on Cambridge Public Television, which I loved!

Upon graduation, I used a $10,000 entrepreneurship grant from Harvard to launch an admissions consulting company, The Art of Applying. In the two years I’ve been running this business, I have worked with over 50 clients one-on-one to gain admission to top business and public policy schools, and influenced thousands through my blog posts, videos, articles, webinars, and group coaching programs. At the same time as I was running The Art of Applying, I was building up a reputation as a dating advice writer through another blog I owned, CrazyGirl Nation. I’ve retired CrazyGirl Nation for now, and want to channel my energies into getting my first book finished and ready for you to enjoy!

About My Book

I’m currently finishing up my first book titled Be Your Own Boyfriend: Decide to be Happy, Unleash Your Sexy, and Change Your Life. What my book is missing is success stories from all of you! If you have a success story of how you started focusing more on your life and your happiness rather than obsessing about how to get a boyfriend (and maybe even ended up finding Mr. Right after focusing on yourself!), I would love to hear it and include it in my book! Just shoot me a message via our contact form so you can tell me your story!

The book will be ready and in your hands for your reading pleasure by Summer 2012, so get ready for it!

Other Places You Can Find Me

I live in my hometown of Austin, Texas in the ultra-hip business and entertainment SoLa district of the 78704 zip code.
