March 12th is National Alfred Hitchcock Day.  Time to rent Vertigo or The Birds, and try to figure out why in the world Hitchcock never won an Oscar for Best Director.  While you're at it, here's an interview with author Jack Sullivan on Hitchcock's collaboration with composer Bernard Hermann. You might even recognize some of the music from the recent smash, "The Artist."  After all, why not borrow from the best?
