Over the years I have occasionally followed the urge to carve wooden cudgels as a break from the rigors of swordsmithing. here are a few examples of ones that I'm happy with. To Order

This Cudgel was carved from uprooted beach sapling in the spring of 2008.

It was inspired by reading an excellent collection of short stories on the theme of medieval fables and their ancient origins called "Merlin Dreams" by Peter Dickinson with illustrations by Allan Lee.

This is a cudgel, carved in 2000 inspired by a character from the Norse myths, Bergelmir was the progenitor of the frost giants after Ymir (the first frost giant) was slain by Odin and his brothers. The name "Bergelmir" is inscribed in nordic runes along the body of the cudgel.

This cudgel is carved out of an uprooted striped maple sapling. and is 26 1/2 inches in length from horn to pomel.
