The careful design and construction ensure reliable operation and wide versatility. The patented tool change turret allows a faster speed thanks to the 6 stations that fit almost all types of tools, allowing you to use any already available.
The station includes an upper punching tool change for punches and one for matrices. The position of the support tool is handled electronically and the interspace blade is adjustable.
Multipower universal Shears provide the opportunity to work on sheet metal with a minimum thickness of 5 mm.
The Darley universal shears range includes 2 models: the MPP and the MPD.
The MPP can achieve a power of 70 or 110 Ton. The MPD comes in 70, 110, 130 and 170 Ton versions.
The universal standard shear comes with a separable punching table with manual gauge measuring 800x450mm ( X, Y) in the MPD model and 800x450mm ( X,Y ) in the MPP model.
The MPD universal shear is provided with a cutting island. The punching and cutting islands are handled by separate cylinders, which can be used together via a central unit which does not require significant maintenance.
Plates are cut using a special blade that provides superior results and optimal cutting and the standard version consists of a sheet press with a stroke of 5 mm in combination with a manual pre-setting. The cutting profile angle is suitable for cutting at 90° and 45°. This is accomplished by a movement of the blade where the cutting angle is 0°.
The standard version of the machine is equipped with a set of blades for round and square cutting. It can also be provided with blades for “U” or “I” profiles on request.

Cutting can be considerably sped up by using an electronic gauge (optional), with contact with the back gauge via the cutting cycle switch.
If the material has a length less than 100mm, you must use the short cutting unit (optional). During the cutting cycle, this unit is under the blade and retracts automatically to the gauge position after the cutting cycle. The Multipower universal shear, MPD standard model, is available with a 100 to 1000m stop bar, which can easily be used for cutting angles and sections. The stop bar can be optionally extended to 2000 or 3000 mm.

Gauge can be handled via numerical control, which considerably reduces set-up time and maximizes precision. The characteristics of the CNC gauge are:

The extractor is an important part of punching. The high stability of the extractor means that it can be adjusted easily and quickly onto the product, so that it stays flat on the table after punching. Thanks to this, efficiency and safety will be greatly improved. The machine is supplied standard with 3 extractors with punching diameters of 31mm , 50mm, and 75 mm. The punching island can be supplied with an optional hydraulic support (instead of the extractor) with a stroke of 5mm in combination with a manual pre-setting.
Through the automatic lubrication of the punch after each stroke, the tool’s life is significantly increased. The pneumatic system can be disconnected if there is a material that cannot be lubricated, A mixture of air and oil is added through the extractor on the right and left sides of the punching tools,.

An angle extractor is available for the machining the corners of iron and “U” profiles. Profiles up to 100mm in height can be placed against the gauge, with the vertical side facing the back. Profiles with a height between 100 and 150mm can be placed vertically with the side facing the front. For this , the upper support must be adjusted (optional).
CNC 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 AND 6000MM TABLE
For the processing of heavy products or products with complex holes, the universal shear should ideally be equipped with a CNC-RUN table with hydraulic grippers for clamping workpieces. At the beginning of the production cycle the products are fixed with two clamps, after which the production cycle proceeds automatically. Different holes can be punched automatically, in combination with a CNC tool changer.
As an option you can have a drilling unit that can reach up to 40mm in circumference, or a marking unit with a permanent letter/ number combination.
The shear is managed by a universal DELEM DP10 control or optional DP30 videograph control. Characteristics of DP10 control:

With a functional and efficient software programming time can be decreased, increasing the level of automation in the company. For this purpose use of the “Darley DSTV converter” software is recommended.
Data between the control unit and programming can be exchanged via a floppy disk or an online DNC connection. The DP 30 control supplies this configuration as standard, while the DP10 is supplied with an optional 3.5” floppy drive or RS232 connection.
