If you tell people that you have a dentist appointment, they just laugh amiably when you slur your words after lunch.

A woman at the bar My hygienist said that of everyone she's seen in the last five years, I have her favorite mouth. That may have been just a line.

Many people are bitching about fawning over Google Talk. Here's what some are saying:

"Google Talk sucks. I'm sticking with Yahoo."
"Google Talk sucks. I'm sticking with AOL Instant Messenger."
"Google Talk sucks. I'm sticking with MSN."
"Google Talk sucks. I'm friendless and no one ever messages me anyway."

So Google released their chat client today. Google Talk. I have two conflicting feelings on this. First, I want it to work in Trillian so I don't have to run more than one chat client. Second, I want it to kill all the other chat protocols so I don't have to run Trillian instead of four chat clients. I suppose they aren't exactly conflicting. Everyone go get Google Talk. I think this /. comment gets the perspective that a bunch of people seem to be missing about IM right now: it.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=159894&cid=13384999
The best line is:
"Imagine if (...) someone was whacky enough to make an email client which required an account from every major provider in order to email your friends, rather than simply everyone moving to the official smtp and mime standards."

I am not really a Google fanboy. Even if AOL or MS had come out with a half decent, standards based IM client, I'd be here flogging it.

With that said, let the clamoring for features begin!
* Timestamps in the chat window.
* Multiperson chat.
* File transfer.
* Multiple identities.
* Inviso-Mode.
* Smilies.
* Contact's idle time.
* Contact's online time.
* Contact groups.

A woman painted a mural on her friend's house based on a satellite view of the neighborhood. I don't have much to add, but damn that is cool. via boingboing.

"If you leave an angry woman alone, she becomes sad.
If you leave a sad man alone, he becomes angry.
An angry man will make her sadder.
A sad woman will make him sadder still."

The world is being invaded by bouncing green fried eggs and you are the only ray-gun toting panda left to defend us all. Panda Pang is sort of like asteroids at the bottom of a gravity well. I am having having some difficulty stopping playing.

UPDATE: Mercifully, there are only 12 levels so I may be able to resume my life sometime soon. Also, it is worth beating the game to see the panda's disco celebration.

In an ironic twist, the fact that stuff is happening is my life is actually making my blog less interesting.
