Module Instrumented Treadmill / Floor Gait Plate

The core unit is a treadmill instrumented with a 1.5 m long and 55 cm wide pressure distribution gait plate (1 sensor per cm2 ) powered by Zebris Medical GmbH

  • The gait plate measures the resulting vertical force curve and the kinematic gait line of the center point of pressure
  • Each footprint is detected and can be analyzed separately
  • The force plate always measures two (or more) valid strides which are used to automatically compile a very comprehensive gait report
  • The instrumented treadmill can also be used for static balance testing
  • As an alternative to using a treadmill, an up to 3 meter long floor gait plate can be used to measure the "natural gait" patterns.

A powerful automatic marker tracking routine can create angle curves based on 3 or 4 markers or multiple angle tracking.

A distance and height tool allows for translational analysis in the given 2 plane. Shoulder height difference, tilt angles in absolute space and distance measures can be applied with few mouse clicks.
