Beyond simply selling beer, Belmont Station seeks to educate our customers and help expose them to the dizzying array of craft and imported beer available to us here in Oregon. We feel that a greater understanding of beer styles, brewing regions, and brewing methods leads to greater appreciation of our favorite fermented beverages.

To facilitate this we offer free tastings, "Meet the Brewer" nights, "Theme Weeks", and other special events. These events are an excellent way to learn about beer and the brewing process, meet some of the folks responsible for creating your favorite beers, and (best of all) try some free samples of their wares. Unless otherwise noted, all tastings are free and open to everyone over 21 years of age.

MONDAY MARCH 12 | 5 - 7PM | PYRAMID/MACTARNAHAN'S TASTING.

If you haven't noticed these folks have really stepped up their game recently and are not only brewing great beer but also selling it at very attractive prices. Taste the Pyramid Dischord Dark IPA, Outburst Imperial IPA, and Thunderhead IPA, and the MacTarnahan's Slingshot Extra Pale Ale and Goosebump Coffee Imperial Stout. The very tasty Smoky Helles will be on draft.

TUESDAY MARCH 13 | 6 - 8PM | SILVER MOON TASTING & MEET THE FOUNDER.

Silver Moon Founder Tyler Reichert will be here pouring tastes of Hop Knob IPA, Badlands ESB, Snakebite Porter, Hoptagon Imperial IPA, and Houndstooth Amber. The new Shakedown Oatmeal Brown Ale and Hop Knob IPA on tap in our Biercafe.

THURSDAY MARCH 15 All Day. BELMONT STATION 15TH ANNIVERSARY.

Yep, it's been 15 years since the founding of Belmont Station as the first specialty beer store in the Northwest and 5 years since we opened the Biercafe. Thanks to you we're still here so we'll be breaking out some vintage bottles to sell (Abyss, Top Sail, Roots Epic, Oregon Trail Bourbon Porter, Stone Vertical Epic Ale, we're still digging in our cellar) and will be joined by two brewers with whom we have a long and special history: Ted Sobel of Brewers Union Local 180 and Shawn Kelso of 10 Barrel (and former brewmaster for Barley Brown's). Ted is bringing us two firkins of his unbeatable genuine cask-conditioned ales: Wotcha A La Citra, Bitter, ABV 4.0% and a special cask-conditioned Belmont Station 15th Anniversary Ale "15-15-15", named for the fact it will be served on our 15th, which is March 15th and it has 15 grains in the malt bill.

FRIDAY JULY 13 - THURSDAY JULY 19 | PUCKERFEST 6!

Join us for our 6th annual festival of sour, funky, and wild ales. Check back soon, or check Puckerfest.com for more information.
