About Us

The ARF Archives Institute was founded in July 2008.

The ARF Archives Institute has legal status in the USA and has been registered in California as a non-profit organization. The Institute is the sole and legal custodian of all the archives belonging to the ARF, whether they are in paper forms, photos or audio-visual materials.

The Institute has offices in the US (Montebello CA and Watertown MA) and Beirut, Lebanon. The archives are kept in the Hairenik Association building (Watertown, MA).

The main task of the Institute is to cathegorize-process the archives through technologically advanced methods, prepare them for publication as well as to make them available for academic research in an internationally accepted manner. Currently, the archives are being digitized.

To date, 5 volumes of ARF archives have been published (in Armenian), under the name Niuter Hai Heghapokhagan Tashnagtzootian Badmootian Hamar (Materials for the History of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation). The first four volumes have been edited and prepared for publication by late Hratch Dasnabedian and the fifth one by Yervant Pambookian.

The director of the Institute is Vatche Proodian.
