Make Your Own Tshirt! at Islington Mill
One69a and RAG are Collaborating, with you!
Using applique paper and various types of fabric, participants will have the opportunity to create shapes from drawings and images that be ironed then stitched onto tshirts. This can be incorporated with screen printing either over the design or onto the fabric before applying. Using silk screens and hand cut stencils you can draw and print your own designs and combine this with a simple applique technique or use just use one of these methods to create your very own bespoke tshirt. You will also have the option of designing a tote bag instead if a tshirt isn’t your thing.
These workshops will be held in the newly refurbished club and gallery space at Islington Mill. The bar will be open with a delicious selection of refreshments for you to enjoy during the workshop. The gallery will also be open for you to peruse the latest exhibition. If you wish you can stay into the evening to catch some live music too!
