At Minami-Boso in Chiba Prefecture, flowers are already blooming in an explosion of color, and it feels like spring has arrived early. I took the GZ-E10 to a perfect spot for a location shoot, where you can pick flowers while looking out over the ocean! My goal: beautiful scenery and flowers in high resolution. I’ll also give telemacro capturing a try.

Just how close can you get to your subject with the GZ-E10, the new Everio entry-class model? I’ll explore the capabilities of Full HD and the Optical 40x Zoom, the highest in its class. Hoping to find a truly amazing video in a familiar landscape, I dashed out to collect data.

The new Everios were introduced just last month. I tested the GZ-E200, an entry-class model that allows you easily shoot high-resolution Full HD footage, on wintry landscapes while out on a walk! I captured crisp early-morning snowscapes and blustering snow.

In this post, I’ll bring you more captures of Yokohama’s night views and try some more advanced shots. I’ll use several effects, including slow shutter speed and focusing in, and even shoot a video from a car!

At this time of year, the air is clear, and nighttime cityscapes are at their absolute best. Both the high sensitivity GZ-HM860 and GZ-HM650 Everios are good for taking clear captures at night, and I’ve used them to capture the sparkling night scenery of Yokohama! I’ll compare captures taken in different modes and show you night scenes captured with the Optical 40x Zoom and Time-Lapse REC!

I used the GZ-HM860 wide angle and Dynamic 15x Zoom to capture some soccer scenes. I tried using the ZOOM MIC function as well. Please also check out the Time-Lapse REC video captured with the GZ-HM440!

Part 2 of the test where I hunt for those perfect moments with the HD Memory Camera GC-PX10. I’ll see how this camera’s overwhelming potential pays off in high-speed continuous still shooting. I’ll also attempt a short movie that highlights the dynamic motions of soccer. Then I’ll do some snappy editing with the LoiLoScope FX software that comes bundled with the camera.

The new HD Memory Camera GC-PX10 was designed to capture that ‘exact moment’, thanks to the onboard FALCONBRID Engine’s high-speed processing capability. To test it out, I set out to capture some soccer scenes. Please take a look at the ‘exact moments’ that were extracted from 36Mbps Full HD Progressive Video, and the dynamic slow-motion videos.

Capturing the moon is supposedly very difficult for a novice. Using standard Auto Mode, the moon usually turns up white and out-of-focus, but if you understand the important points, it is possible to capture it beautifully. For this outing I used the industry-leading Optical 40x Zoom equipped GZ-HM650 to capture a beautiful autumn full moon.
