1st June 2010 by Inndx Innfo under Tutorials
Hello all you WordPressers and bloggers! We are back again with another tutorial video on how to use the extremely easy, very convenient NextGEN Gallery Plugin. With this plugin, you can upload your photos and organize them into galleries or albums and easily link to them from your pages and posts. *Note* The NextGEN gallery is being offered only to Premium members, so make sure to sign up today!
Some quick terminology:
- A gallery is a group of photos
- An album is a group of galleries
Here are some things to keep in mind when using your NextGEN plugin:
- The easy method is to use the NextGEN toolbar button. In Visual mode, this is will be the button on the far right.
Note: you must have an existing gallery or album. You can then use the provided gallery/album dropdown lists to choose an existing gallery/album.
- You can also use these two ‘shortcodes’ to embed your gallery or album in your post or page. NextGEN shows you these when you first create your gallery.
- For a gallery: [nggallery id=x] (Fill in the “x” with the appropriate ID).
- For an album:[album id=x template=compact] (Fill in the “x” with the appropriate ID).
