I discovered podcasting early in 2006, and immediately fell in love. Here were a bunch of people doing really neat things with audio and the internet, and I could listen to them at work without a radio or worrying about hogging network bandwidth. I subscribed to all sorts of shows and had a marvelous time, and life was good.

Slowly, it occurred to me that I could do it, too. I used to want to grow up to be a radio producer, but it never quite panned out. Aside from not really having the right sort of personality to make it in broadcasting, I’d somehow ended up in the management track when I wanted to do production.

Podcasting made me realize that I can do all that geeky audio junk that I loved all for my self, by myself, in my own home. It should be fun. So, sit down, gently insert your earbuds, gently press play, and get that fresh clean feeling.
