What is Reach Out?
ReachOut.com is Australia’s leading online youth mental health service, inspiring young people to take charge of their mental health and wellbeing, and find ways to boost their resilience and their ability to face tough situations.
It’s anonymous, open 24/7 and every year it helps over 400,000 young Australians by providing information, stories and a support network of other young people who have been through similar stuff.
ReachOut.com is run by the Inspire Foundation. Inspire’s mission is to help young people lead happier lives.
ReachOut.com has several key sections
Fact Sheets + Stories: Here you can explore stories from other young people who have faced life’s challenges, and find fact sheets with expert information on how you can tackle tough situations and become mentally fit and resilient.
Forum: On the ReachOut.com forums you can connect with other young people to share stories, strategies and ideas for tackling tough times.
Blog: On the ReachOut.com blog we provide the latest tips, advice, opinions and news from the ReachOut.com community. Head to the blog for the latest info!

Through ReachOut Pro professionals can discover the latest online programs and interventions available to enhance the mental health and wellbeing of young people, and professional development resources for using technology effectively in practice.
ReachOut Teachers’ Network
Teachers’ Network offers teachers an introduction to the ReachOut.com service, tools and resources that can be used in the classroom and school environment to address mental health issues and build resilience in students.
ReachOut.com ChangeMaker
ReachOut.com ChangeMaker is a mobile toolkit that helps young people make change on the issues they care about, accessible anytime, anywhere, at the touch of a button. By supporting young people to get active in their communities, ReachOut.com ChangeMaker helps them to build social connectedness and self efficacy - important factors in good mental health and wellbeing.
ReachOut Central
ReachOut Central (ROC), is a “serious game”, built upon the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy, that provides young people with the opportunity to practice life skills (such as communication, problem solving and optimistic thinking) in a virtual setting using real life scenarios.
