HMY Britannia finally lifted today

After the failed attempt last week, the royal yacht Britannia was finally lifted from the water into her bespoke shoreside cradle this afternoon.
The replica hull of the HMY Britannia has been rested at South Boats Service Centre, Venture Quays, East Cowes.

Built in Arkhanglelsk, Russia, the replica vessel arrived in Cowes last month.
The yacht is expected to be at South Boats Service Centre for between twelve and eighteen months, while Britannia Trust undertaker her final fit-out after which she will be used for charitable causes.
