Welcome to the Unidos Samba Band website.

About us:

Unidos are a samba band with a twist, we take traditional Brazilian Samba and add our own styles and variations to produce drum’n bass, funk, compound and irregular timed grooves.

We have toured internationally, attending the Nijmegen International Samba Festival in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. We have also played with the Drogheda Samba Festival, Jersey Battle of the Flowers, 2010 Welsh Encontro and with Samba Masala from Singapore. We have appeared twice at the Bestival, amongst many other local and national festivals.

The band:

The band was formed in 2004 on the Isle of Wight and we specialise in the rhythmic techniques of samba and mix other influences for a variety of more advanced rhythms. We actively encourage members to take a part in the development of the band, ranging from composition and leadership, to gigs and tour planning.
