Thank you for visiting and supporting Rewriting Herstory!  I’ve been in the blogosphere for about 3 years now. I had a short lived personal site, and then created Three Ways To Take (R.I.P.) with two friends. After our last post, I knew that I still wanted to blog, thus, Rewriting Herstory was born.

I named this space “Rewriting Herstory” because I like to think of my life as an evolving story. Every experience is like a new page in the book. When I think about past experiences, they sometimes look different, depending on the day. On some days, certain experiences look better than they did on others. When I look forward, I’m not sure how the story will turn out.

In May, I graduated for the last time (I think) after 9 years of college and graduate education. I am finally entering the “real world,” with no course outline or syllabus. At 26, I have learned a lot about myself, what it means to be a woman, and what it means to be a professional. At the same time, I know there is a lot more living and learning to be done. I want to use this space to share stories, experiences, questions, lessons learned, struggles, and inspiration I gain along the way. I hope you stay tuned as I write my story and share parts of yours, too.

Some more basis things about me:

I’m confident, yet insecure. Sensitively sarcastic. Witty. Regular. Different. Silly. I love good music and good food. And Jay-Z. I like being alone, but love being around great company. I take myself seriously, but am easily amused by simple things. I’ve lost, but I’m learning to enjoy my victories. I like the idea of being in shape, but hate working out. I embrace change (in theory), but cringe when I have to accept it. I try to learn from experience, but sometimes need to learn the lesson twice. I like being right, but appreciate the humility that comes with being wrong. Sometimes.
