Prof. Gunther Teubner, Director of our Institute of Political Economy and Law (IPEL) has been recently appointed as Foreign Member of the prestigious Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei in Rome - the oldest academy worldwide.
IUC Advisory Board member professor Guido Calabresi gave lectures on Law and Economics, Altruism, and Law and Values. Professor Guido Calabresi is an Italian American legal scholar and senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a former Dean of Yale Law School, where he has been a professor since 1959. Calabresi is also considered a founder of the field of law and economics.
IUC is promoting the project “Occupying the Commons” which aim is to explore the occupation movements of 2011 and 2012 with the paradigm of the “commons”. The project consists of producing a video – directed by Saki Bailey and filmed and produced by Tommaso Dotti.
