Are you losing income because you don’t understand the wealth of opportunities in front of you?

Then it’s your time to change…

But… aren’t we in a recession? Or are we recovering from one? What’s all this about opportunity? Aren’t times tough?
spacer The answers depend on how you view things or which party you follow; perhaps what columns you read.  But creative people are always in demand.  And really, everyone has it in them to be creative. There’s always been opportunities to excel and exceed expectation; now there’s more than ever. And you can get as big a slice as you want.

It’s the summer of opportunities.

Here are some antics to increase your altitude.

There’s an eight letter summary of all this: attitude.

If you’ve got paying employment, go the extra mile.  Do more than is asked. Problem solve – in other words: get creative on the job.  You’ll make yourself more valuable; if there are any raises, perks or promotions going, you’re nearer the front of the line. Showing an entrepreneurial attitude will stand you out.

Keep learning; new skills will help you in every part of your life. You might have a degree; add to it with a night class, or online course. And it doesn’t have to be an accredited program in anything.

Save more; spend less.  The value of consumer goods bought with credit card debt is the convenience they bring; the cost is the lost freedom you’ll miss when you have to work longer and harder to pay for it all.  Living simpler may be a buzz phrase in the 21st century, but it’s a sensible one.

Stay flexible, as you’ll weather change easier and faster.  Do what’s been advised for years: save a proportion of your income.  Over time you’ll be better prepared for unforeseen happenings.

And is that really work?
