About

I’m a 35 year old California native who describes myself as just an average type of guy.  I can pretty much do anything I put my mind to and became pretty religious at around 18 or so.  When 20 I served a two year mission for my church, where I met my ex-wife Amy.

I now live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where my ex-wife and her family are from.  I’ve got three awesome kids and they keep me pretty busy along with my normal duties and working nights at my job, “Just Over Broke.”  I started working online several years ago after selling quite a bit of my collectors items on Ebay.  After seeing how easy it was to buy and sell online, I decided that I wanted to try to supplement my regular day job or should I say night, by earning a steady income using the internet.

I started searching for every work at home business I could find and ended up purchasing an online video series showing me step by step how to register a domain name, get hosting, sign up for an affiliate program and promote other peoples products.

I spent so much time and energy setting up a price comparison website all from scratch and affiliated myself with musical instrument websites.  After making several hundred dollars I thought I was all that until the product vendors decided they didn’t like to be part of a price comparison site.

With all my eggs in one basket my site was over and feeling frustrated, decided to quit.  I attempted several more times over the years to try the next big thing, but to no avail.  I never realized that my mindset needed to be changed and I needed to give my internet business time to grow.

I saw so much information being sold online and wondered how do they did it.  I saw groups of people promoting each others products and could see some type of system in place but i just couldn’t put it all together.  I probably spent at least a thousand dollars over the years trying this and that but to no avail.  I finally decided to invest in a mentor and found one in Alex Jeffreys in October 2008.

By this time I had over 15 gigabytes of information products on my hard drive and no money in my bank account.  Alex has been teaching me that I need to develop simple business skills in order to succeed online.  I now know that all of the programs I had bought into were not the problem.

The problem was me.  It was my inaction that kept me from succeeding.  This blog is my journey from nothing to something.  I owe everything to Alex Jeffreys who really kept it simple and taught me how to focus on “this being a business.”  I continue to study and apply different things to my business and if you are interested in starting your own, I suggest you follow me and see what I’m up too.

I don’t know everything but at least I’m doing something.  As I continue to press forward in my business, I may need to update this from time to time.  Failing forward fast…

Update December 2010…

I have since remarried to my great wife Kori and added her two great sons to the mix.  We are all pressing forward doing our best and hope to create some great new content for 2011.
