Summer Nightsun Writers Conference

In Historic Downtown Frostburg

July 26-29, 2012

spacer The Frostburg Center for Creative Writing is happy to announce the fourth annual Summer Nightsun Writers Conference scheduled to be held Thursday, July 26, through Sunday, July 29, in downtown Frostburg, MD. The conference will feature workshops with Andy Duncan, (sci-fi, fantasy, and horror), Gerry LaFemina, (poetry) and Michael Alexander (screenwriting). The weekend will also include readings by participants and workshop faculty and special guests.

The program will provide participants with workshop opportunities, individualized attention and feedback to their work, as well as to initiate a larger writing community and craft session. The workshop is designed to generate new material and publications, and to hone the craft of creative writing.

The cost for participation is $250.00 plus accommodations and some meals. There will be an opportunity for a one-on-one faculty conference for an additional cost of $25.00.

Costs & Offerings
For $250 tuition students receive:
A weekend to study with published writers and to workshop, design, and generate new material and to receive feedback for finished works.
Opportunity for a one-on-one faculty conference for an additional cost of $25.00.
The weekend includes a reading of participant work as well as faculty readings.
