On Friday, a jury took just three hours to find Nicholas Gutierrez guilty of the first-degree murder and rape of Mary Stachowicz (pronounced Stack-OH-vich), a 51-year-old Chicago mother of four and former co-worker who attended church nearly every day. Gutierrez, a homosexual, is now eligible for the death penalty, and his horrifying crime is the sort that cries out for that form of justice.

As if his savagery were not evil enough, Gutierrez, a stocky man about six feet tall, and his public defender lawyers effectively blamed Mary for her own murderarguing that the five-foot-five-and-half-inch tall Stachowicz had attacked him because she was obsessed about his homosexual lifestyle. A talking Jesus doll has been turned down by the Marine Reserves' Toys for Tots program. A suburban Los Angeles company offered to donate 4,000 of the foot- tall dolls, which quote Bible verses, for distribution to needy children this holiday season. The battery-powered Jesus is one of several dolls manufactured by one2believe, a division of the Valencia- based Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Co., based on Biblical figures. But the charity balked because of the dolls' religious nature. Read

The United News and Information's November newsletter Focus reports that, "Last month's Census Bureau report found that only 49 percent of the nations' households are made up of married couples." They report that this is the first time in our history that married couples are in the minority in American households. "The majority of households today are singles, co-habitating couples and same-sex couples."Can this be possible---and how has it happened? It's highly possible when we think of the moral climate in our country today. America was great when Americans honored God, taught their children to love the Lord and the Word of God, and attended the church as families. When Americans allowed humanists and socialists to teach our children and further allowed unbelievers to stand behind the pulpits of America---when Americans allowed left-leaning Hollywood to influence their families in the theaters and in their homes through television---when perverted and ungodly authors write books that Americans hurry to purchase and revel in---YES, this could easily happen---and has happened!
