Automattic Spam Stopper (I will refrain from the acronym here) is now Akismet, thanks to Charleen’s whimsical way with words. The Akismet WordPress Plugin is available for download, and the squeaky-clean new site went live just now. Check it out.
I’ve been running an older version for a little over a month. Although I initially heard some feedback about genuine comments being sent to the black hole on other people’s blogs, I can’t say that that has been happening on my own blog — all of my own comments have been coming through to my queue quite cleanly. The current download is Version 1.03, so I’m sure this problem has been rectified by now.
