Born in Virginia, Carsie Blanton started her career as a singer-songwriter in Oregon before moving to Philadelphia in 2006. Carsie has a fresh, openhearted style, and an ability to directly communicate about life’s joys and troubles. This artist can reach out from her heart to yours, tell you about her life, touch the things that we all experience, and stay witty and intelligent in the process. In July of 2009, Carsie released her second album, Buoy, produced by pop/rock mogul Pete Donnelly. While Carsie’s songs tend to be personal and lyrically rich, this release strays from the folk tradition to bring out the soulfulness, passion, and pop sensibility in her work.
