Our annual Anza-Borrego Desert Photo Contest invites desert lovers and photography enthusiasts to capture their favorite views, moments and adventures in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. A total of 276 photographs were entered by adult and youth participants. Congratulations to our winners and thanks to all the photographers who submitted photos this year!

Borrego Valley Hawkwatch

February 15 - April 15
Join us for another exciting season of counting and observation of Swainson’s Hawks as they pass though the valley. In previous years counters have seen as many as 500 hawks in one day!

You can be a part of the action!
Join counters at the Morning and Evening Count Sites any day between February 15 and April 15. Get the latest migration info at the Borrego Valley Hawkwatch blog, where they’ll post daily counts and updates.

Mongolia Adventure 2012

Join retired ABDSP Superintendent Mark Jorgensen for an all-inclusive adventure that will introduce you to the distinctive culture, wildlife, and varied terrain of Mongolia, including remote desert landscapes and Mongolia’s bustling capital, Ulaanbaatar.
