Dayton, OH (also known as the Gem City) is one of the largest cities in Ohio with a population of nearly 150,000. Its central location not only in the country, but in the heart of the manufacturing industry, makes it one of the most important logistical centers in the United States. Just north of Cincinnati, Dayton has a history of aviation dating back to the Wright brothers and continuing on through to the modern Wright Patterson Air Force Base. This mix of industry and innovation has lead to many important inventions being created in and around the city.
Dayton is also noted for its dedication to art and culture. Home the Dayton Art Institute and other arts centers, Dayton consistantly ranks at the top of metropolitan areas for fine art. This also ties into Dayton's large tourism economy, which is notable because of its aviation centers. The National Museum of the United States Air Force is a major tourist destination and it contains the National Aviation Hall of Fame.
In March, the Gem City will host a variety of events from orchestral performances, award winning musicals, concerts, and even a few rounds of the 2012 NCAA Tournament.

When you visit the PNC 2nd Street Market for the first time you feel like you've been missing something. The Market is like a year-round indoor farmer's market and then some; like an upscale flea market without all of the junk.
Host Ryan Roth announces that it happens, “every week, rain or shine, shine or snow, rain or chickens, baseball or no baseball.” The Tuesday Night Musician's Co-Op at Canal Street Tavern has been happening for over 30 years. It's like an open mic night, free play and free cover, though you have to sign up ahead of time to play.
