Huntsville Radio Service, Inc. (HRS) was established in 1946. We have been supporting Redstone Arsenal (Redstone) and its tenant commands as this Army installation has evolved and grown. HRS has been heavily involved with NASA since the 1960’s. HRS installed the communication system used on the barge that transported our space crafts and rockets through the waterways to various launch sites. HRS currently maintains the Trunking communication system used for Redstone which is managed by NASA.

HRS became a Motorola Federal (MR) Agent on August 1, 2006. This MR designation gives us the authority to act on behalf of Motorola to support and advise our customers who can purchase from the Motorola GSA Schedule. Companies must have the proper authority to purchase Motorola products on the GSA Schedule. The FCC Narrowbanding Mandate

HRS is committed to getting all our current customers compliant well before the deadline of January 1, 2013. We will be getting our own systems’ infrastructure compliant and contacting all of our customers using radios on these systems so that all the requirements are met. HRS will make this as easy as possible for our customers and any others that need assistances in understanding these FCC rulings. There is no requirement to be digital, although a digital system is the latest and greatest. Do not hesitate to call with any questions.

Warning Sirens

When bad weather approaches and time is all you have, Huntsville Radio has partnered with Federal Signal and offers audible and visual signaling, outdoor warning, intercoms, public address, initiating systems, fire alarms, and uninterruptible power supplies. We offer installation and service of these mission critical systems. It is very wise and crucial investment in our area and maintenance is needed to keep these operating to the optimum performance. Huntsville Radio has installed and serviced over 150 Tornado Sirens in the North Alabama Area. We do maintenance on many to keep the software, radio and sirens involved working correctly so that these warnings will go off correctly
