Help Us Save JD Sports!
The short term goal of the SaveJDSports committee is to restore to previous levels the opportunities for participation in all the Modified and JV/Varsity sports that will be impacted by the budgetary cuts from Spring 2012 through Spring 2013. Because of the elimination of coaching positions at the Modified and JV/Varsity levels and the reduction of travel and officiating expenses at the Modified level, the opportunities for our children to participate have been, and will continue to be, significantly reduced.
We believe that the opportunity to participate in scholastic sports at the Modified andHigh School levels is critical to the development of our children. Therefore, our goal is to raise the funds necessary to reinstate these coaching positions to pre-budget cut levels, so as to maximize the opportunity for our student athletes to participate at every level that JD has to offer.
Our short term fundraising goals are as follows:

Our long term goal is to work with the JD School District and the Board of Education to establish the funds necessary for the athletics programs to function at their current levels. We will strive to raise funds beyond our short term goals to supplement the athletics budget so annual fundraising is not necessary.
We are confident that our community will embrace and support our fundraising drive.
