The National Farmers Union has chosen the staff of WisconsinEye to receive the 2012 Milt Hakel Award for Agricultural Communications at this year's national convention. WisconsinEye was nominated by the Wisconsin Farmers Union for their unedited, unbiased coverage of state government and politics. The convention in Omaha in March will bring together hundreds of family farmers, ranchers and commercial fishermen from all corners of the nation. Christopher Long, WisconsinEye President and CEO, will speak to NFU membership about WisconsinEye's mission and show a highlight reel of their full range of programming. Mr. Long will also discuss the national crisis in statehouse coverage and NAPAN's 50 States, 50 Networks initiative.
